Flyability is the disability initiative of the British Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association. The BHPA is the UK governing body of the sport of hang gliding and paragliding. We are a small group of volunteers that work in our spare time to make free flight accessible to anyone who wants to fly.


The APT Charitable Trust was founded to teach disabled people to fly, giving the disabled the opportunity to enjoy the freedom of flight.  


FSDP – Flying Scholarships for Disabled People: The aim of a scholarship is to both challenge and inspire; building up confidence, self-esteem and future aspirations. It is truly a life changing experience that helps people achieve their potential no matter what disadvantages they may face in their lives.


The British Gliding Association - Gliding for All   The British Gliding Association is the governing body for the sport of gliding in the UK. Our members are the 80 clubs that provide gliding facilities for their members – clubs that are spread throughout the UK.


Launchpoint is a registered charity which supports the development of glider pilots. It was established in 2017 and incorporates the activities of Caroline Trust and the Ted Lys Trust, both of which had been established nearly 20 years earlier.

Our aims include providing opportunities to experience gliding and facilitating participants at all stages to expand their horizons in the sport. Applications are open to all.


Walking on Air is based at the Scottish Gliding Centre at Poartmoak and is a super-friendly Scottish Registered Charity, dedicated to making gliding accessible to people of almost all disabilities and ages.
